Preparing for the Journey
Change doesn’t start with good intentions. Hell, everybody’s got those. It starts when you finally say, “I can’t do this anymore.” Or maybe it’s, “Why do I keep ending up here?” You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be honest — and ready to do something different.
Where You Are vs. Where You Want to Be
Change doesn’t happen just because you're tired. It happens when you're ready to do something about it. Maybe it hit you all at once. Maybe it built up over time. Either way, you're here now.
You’ve had that moment — the breakdown, the relapse, the quiet shame, the loud fight. And in that moment, something in you said: “I can’t keep doing this.” That’s not weakness. That’s your truth calling you forward.
Reflection Prompt
- What brought me to this point?
- What part of my life feels the most out of control?
- What have I been pretending is “fine” that isn’t?
Patterns Don’t Break Themselves
Most people don’t stay stuck because they’re lazy or broken. They stay stuck because they never learned why they keep ending up in the same cycles.
Maybe it’s fear. Maybe it’s anger. Maybe it’s a deep belief that you’ll always mess it up. Whatever it is — it has a root. You can’t rip it out until you face it.
This isn’t about blame. It’s about clarity. You can’t break chains if you don’t know what’s holding you down.
Be Honest With Yourself
You can’t shift what you refuse to see. This step is about brutal honesty — not for shame, but for freedom.
Open your notes app. Grab a notebook. Doesn’t matter. What matters is that you write, raw and unfiltered. No edits. No judgment. Just truth.
Write This Out
- What do I keep doing that’s hurting me?
- What situations trigger my worst habits?
- What have I been afraid to admit out loud?
Small Wins. Big Change.
The biggest mistake is trying to change everything in one day. That’s how people burn out — again. The goal here isn’t perfection. It’s consistency.
One small, steady win tells your brain: “This time, we’re not just talking about change — we’re doing it.”
